The Palestinian Resistance is a Beacon to our Resistance against the US-Backed Zionist Aggression!

팔레스타인 저항은 미국의 지원을 받는 시오니스트 침략에 맞서는 우리 저항의 등대입니다.

Statement of the ILPS The International League of Peoples’ Struggle stands united in unconditional solidarity with the Palestinian resistance. The Palestinian people are absolutely united in their aspiration to bring an end to the Zionist occupation and to finally live in a free and democratic Palestine.

국제민중투쟁연맹은 팔레스타인 저항에 굳건하게 연대합니다. 팔레스타인 민중은 시오니스트 점령을 종식시키고 마침내 자유롭고 민주적인 팔레스타인에서 살고자 하는 열망으로 굳건하게 단결되어 있습니다.

The actions by the Zionist state are nothing short of a genocide.  Since the latest attacks against Gaza began, over 6,000 have been killed in indiscriminate airstrikes, including at least 500 getting medical treatment and taking refuge in a hospital.  A complete blockade has deliberately cut Gaza off from food, water, fuel and electricity, leaving the people starving and with a medical system on the brink of collapse with about 20,000 injuries and rising. 

시오니스트 국가의 공격은 대량 학살에 다름 아닙니다.  최근 가자지구에 대한 공격이 시작된 이래 무차별 공습으로 6,000명 이상이 사망했으며, 이 중 최소 500명이 병원에서 치료를 받고 피난처로 피신했습니다.  가자지구의 전면 봉쇄로 식량, 물, 연료, 전기가 의도적으로 차단되면서 주민들은 굶주림에 시달리고 있으며, 2만 명 가까운 부상자가 발생하고 의료 시스템은 붕괴 직전의 위기에 처해 있습니다.

Palestinian health officials cannot keep up with carrying away the dead bodies that lie unattended throughout the strip, leading to the high risk of a disease outbreak amongst the population.  Zionist forces have also demanded that 2.3 million Gazans evacuate to the south to make way for their ground invasion and likely attempt to re-occupy the strip while killing even civilians obeying this order. 

팔레스타인 보건 당국은 팔레스타인 지구 곳곳에 방치된 시신을 처리하지 못해 주민들 사이에서 질병이 발생할 위험이 높습니다.  또한 시오니스트 세력은 지상 침공에 대비해 230만 명의 가자 주민에게 남쪽으로 대피할 것을 요구했으며, 이 명령을 따르는 민간인까지 살해하면서 이 지역을 재점령하려고 시도할 가능성이 높습니다.

Airstrikes have even hit the southern border between Gaza and Egypt, the only way for Palestinians to leave the strip if they want, leaving desperately needed humanitarian aid packages sitting at the border unable to enter.  In addition to airstrikes, the Zionists have even used internationally banned weapons such as white phosphorus gas.  Included is the continued violence by soldiers and armed settlers which has killed over 70 in the past 11 days alone.

팔레스타인 사람들이 원할 경우 가자 지구를 떠날 수 있는 유일한 통로인 가자 지구와 이집트 사이의 남쪽 국경까지 공습을 받아 절실히 필요한 인도주의적 지원 물품이 국경에 들어가지 못하고 있는 실정입니다. 시오니스트들은 공습 외에도 백린 가스 등 국제적으로 금지된 무기까지 사용했습니다. 지난 11일 동안에만 70명 이상이 사망한 군인과 무장 정착민들의 지속적인 폭력도 여기에 포함됩니다.

Indeed, the Zionist government may have declared war on October 7th, but the previous 75 years of occupation and ethnic cleansing policies since the Nakba have been a never-ending war against the Palestinian people.  What we see now is merely a heightened general offensive by Zionism within Palestine itself with continuing aggression against neighboring rival countries.

실제로 시오니스트 정부는 10월 7일에 전쟁을 선포했지만, 나크바(대재앙의 날) 이후 75년간의 점령과 인종 청소 정책은 팔레스타인 국민에 대한 끝없는 전쟁이었습니다.  지금 우리가 보고 있는 것은 팔레스타인 내부의 시오니즘이 주변 경쟁 국가에 대한 지속적인 침략과 함께 총공세를 강화한 것일 뿐입니다.

The Zionists may have openly declared war this time, but that’s only because of the Palestinian resistance’s decision to unite in struggle to take up arms against the US-backed occupation state and its “state-of-the-art” military.  For over 75 years, the Palestinian people have used every option they’ve had against the occupation of their land, to no avail. 

시오니스트들은 이번에 공개적으로 전쟁을 선포했지만, 이는 팔레스타인 저항 세력이 단결하여 미국의 지원을 받는 점령 국가와 그 '최첨단' 군대에 맞서 무기를 들고 투쟁하기로 결정했기 때문일 뿐입니다.  팔레스타인 사람들은 지난 75년 동안 자신들의 땅을 점령당하는 것에 맞서 모든 방법을 동원했지만 아무 소용이 없었습니다.

The international governance system has allowed the occupation to become normalized with no end in sight.  The people have chosen to take the courageous path of united coordination in armed resistance, bravely tearing up the Zionist-imposed border fence of Gaza and launching coordinated strikes in air, land and sea that inspired peoples’ movements the world over to see a united people taking the military might of an imperialist satellite state off guard.

국제 거버넌스 시스템 덕분에 점령은 끝이 보이지 않을 정도로 되었습니다. 팔레스타인 사람들은 시오니스트가 설치한 가자지구 국경 철조망을 용감하게 허물고 공중, 지상, 해상에서 조직적인 공습을 감행하는 등 무장 저항의 용감한 길을 선택했으며, 이는 전 세계 민중운동에 영감을 주어 제국주의 위성 국가의 군사력에 대항하는 단결된 민중의 모습을 보여주었습니다.

The Palestinian resistance is a beacon to our resistance!  By this, we mean that this strike against a running dog of US imperialism is a move that weakens US imperialism as a whole.  The global imperialist system is entering into a new stage of multipolar turmoil, from the US-NATO proxy war in Ukraine, to the build up to war in Asia-Pacific, to the upsurge of peoples’ movements for national self-determination in Latin America and Africa, and of the continued advance of armed resistance movements in the Philippines, India, Kurdistan, West Papua and of course Palestine.  The Palestinian resistance gives inspiration to all people struggling in this context for national and social liberation, and therefore we must support their resistance as if it was our own.

팔레스타인 저항은 우리 저항의 등대입니다!  이 말은 미 제국주의의 패권적 공세에 대한 이번 저항은 미 제국주의 전체를 약화시키는 움직임이라는 것을 의미합니다. 세계 제국주의 체제는 우크라이나에서 벌어진 미-나토 대리전, 아시아-태평양에서의 전쟁 격화, 라틴아메리카와 아프리카에서 민족 자결권을 위한 민중 운동의 급증, 필리핀, 인도, 쿠르드, 서파푸아는 물론 팔레스타인에서 계속되는 무장 저항운동의 진전에 이르기까지 새로운 다극적 혼란 단계로 접어들고 있습니다.  팔레스타인의 저항은 같은 맥락에서 민족적, 사회적 해방을 위해 고군분투하는 모든 사람들에게 영감을 주고 있으며, 따라서 우리는 그들의 저항을 마치 우리의 저항처럼 지지해야 합니다.

The ILPS supports all resistance fighters regardless of organizational affiliation - now is the time to unite!

ILPS는 조직 소속에 관계없이 모든 저항 투사들을 지지합니다 - 지금이 바로 단결할 때입니다!

We also condemn the attacks on Palestinian and Palestine solidarity organizations around the world on behalf of the US and Zionist forces.  We are witnessing an unprecedented outlawing of democratic organizations and bans on free speech when it comes to the Palestinian cause while pro-Zionist slogans are given full support, even within the so-called “democratic” liberal states of North America and Europe.  Now is the time to defend peoples’ struggle in all its forms.

또한 미국과 시오니스트 세력의 전 세계 팔레스타인 및 팔레스타인 연대 단체에 대한 공격을 규탄합니다. 우리는 북미와 유럽의 소위 '민주적' 자유주의 국가들에서조차 친시온주의 슬로건이 전폭적인 지지를 받는 반면, 팔레스타인 대의에 관한 한 민주적 조직이 불법화되고 언론의 자유가 금지되는 전례 없는 사태를 목격하고 있습니다. 지금은 모든 형태의 민중투쟁을 옹호해야 할 때입니다.

The ILPS calls on its members to take actions worldwide outside of Israeli, US and European embassies to condemn the genocide taking place in Gaza.  We also encourage members to demand of their own governments official condemnation and to push for the unconditional end of the blockade, assault and genocide of Gaza, as well as the end of all military aid to the Zionist state, especially from the US.

ILPS는 회원들에게 이스라엘, 미국, 유럽 대사관 밖에서 가자지구에서 벌어지고 있는 대량학살을 규탄하는 전 세계 행동을 취할 것을 촉구합니다.  또한 회원들이 자국 정부에 공식적인 비난을 요구하고 가자지구에 대한 봉쇄, 공격, 학살의 무조건적인 종식과 시오니스트 국가, 특히 미국에 대한 모든 군사 원조의 중단을 촉구할 것을 권장합니다.

All organizations are encouraged to hold educational sessions on the history and current situation of the US-Zionist occupation and resistance of Palestine.  Ongoing actions in support of the Palestinian resistance must be maintained worldwide, especially amidst the crackdown and banning of anti-Zionist organizations.  We must assert that activism and resistance of any form is not terrorism.

모든 단체는 미국과 시오니스트의 팔레스타인 점령과 저항의 역사와 현재 상황에 대한 교육 세션을 개최할 것을 권장합니다. 팔레스타인 저항을 지지하는 지속적인 행동은 전 세계적으로, 특히 반시온주의 단체에 대한 단속과 금지가 계속되는 가운데서도 유지되어야 합니다. 우리는 어떤 형태의 행동주의와 저항도 테러리즘이 아니라고 단언해야 합니다.
